Expectations of Committee Members
The Winchester Republican Committee is the governing body of the local Republican Party. The party encourages participation from all Republicans in the party’s effort to elect Republican candidates. Serving on the Committee is one way of doing this, but it carries with it special, additional responsibilities in order for our efforts to be successful.
Committee members are expected to attend all regular and special meetings, whether monthly or otherwise, of the Winchester Republican Committee. If unable to attend, members shall appoint a proxy so that the Committee may obtain a quorum and conduct business.
Participation in party activities is fundamental to the success of the Committee. Members are expected to volunteer their time and efforts toward party-related activities. These activities include, but are not limited to: fundraising, voter registration drives, phone banking, door-to-door canvassing, get-out-the-vote efforts and helping at the polls on Election Day.
